Who can pay into my child's Junior ISA?
Although only a parent or legal guardian can open or manage a Junior ISA for a child, anyone can pay into it – up to the £9,000 annual limit. Here’s how.
If you're the Junior ISA's registered contact (the person responsible for managing the account), just log in to the account and click on ‘Single payment’. From this screen you can also create a link which you can email to relatives or friends, letting them pay into the Junior ISA. They’ll need to confirm the child’s surname and date of birth to make the payment.
If you're the Junior ISA's registered contact, you'll need to log in to your own account (not the child's) to set up a regular Direct Debit. To get started, just log in to your account and choose ‘Regular payments’.
If you're the Junior ISA's registered contact but don't have a linked parent or guardian account, you can still set up a Direct Debit by filling in and posting to us a Junior ISA monthly payment form. You can also use this form to set up a Direct Debit into a child's Junior ISA if you're not its registered contact.
To amend or cancel an existing Direct Debit, please send us a secure message from the Junior ISA account.
