How can I move my SIPP into income drawdown?
Moving your SIPP into drawdown is a big decision, so first you need to be sure you’re ready. You’ll also need to decide how much of your SIPP you want to move into drawdown. It may be more tax efficient to only move part of your SIPP into drawdown at any one time – but the choice is up to you. If you’re not sure, please speak to a financial adviser.
When you're ready to access your SIPP, log in to your account and select 'Manage my SIPP' from the 'My account' menu. On this page you can move your SIPP into drawdown, take a one-off payment from your drawdown pot, or edit the amount of regular income you’ve already set up.
If you set up a drawdown pot with us, we’ll offer you Investment Pathways. There are four Investment Pathways you can choose from – each lets you invest your pot in an AJ Bell fund designed to broadly match your retirement plans. Choosing an Investment Pathway is completely optional. If you prefer, you can go it alone or just keep your drawdown pot invested where it already is. Find out more about Investment Pathways.
