Putin’s crude remarks lift oil
Russian president Vladimir Putin’s pledge to join OPEC’s production freeze (10 Oct) is helping to lift crude oil prices, fueling the rally which originates from the cartel’s surprise move on 28 September 2016. US oil prices hit their highest levels so far this year as Putin made the commitment at an conference in Istanbul. More details on OPEC’s cut are expected at its next official meeting on 30 November.
