FD Technologies PLC on Friday named Ashok Reddy as the new chief executive officer of its KX division.

FD Technologies is a Newry, County Down-based financial markets technology provider, formerly known as First Derivatives. KX is its real-time data analytics platform.

Most recently, Reddy was chief executive officer of Digital.AI Ltd, where FD said he established the company as a ‘leader’ in AI-driven DevOps value stream management. Prior to this, Reddy spent ten years at IBM Corp. During his tenure, he more than doubled revenue and created a DevOps arm that exceeded $350 million in new revenue, FD noted.

The company said that Reddy joins KX at an ‘optimal’ moment, since it entered into a partnership agreement with Microsoft Inc in March and the division's annual recurring revenue is ‘accelerating’.

Commenting on Reddy's appointment, FD Technologies CEO Seamus Keating said: ‘His track record of success in enterprise software, driving product and commercial strategies is a perfect fit as we look to accelerate our growth following a transformational year for the business.’

Shares in FD Technologies were up 1.6% to 1,950.00 pence each in London on Friday morning.
