Frontier said it was 'highly likely' its tie-up with Science Group would receive shareholder approval at a general meeting as merger talks resumed after the latter increased its ownership in the company to 70.3%.

Frontier, citing the size of Science Group's holding and recognising the voting arithmetic, said it was highly likely that the merger would be successfully approved at a general meeting of the company.

Talks between Science Group and Frontier to effect a statutory merger were resumed after Science Group increased its holding in the company, purchasing 8,062,745 shares at a price of 25 pence per share, taking its holdings to 31,510,176 shares, equivalent to a 70.3% stake in Frontier.
