Genel Energy PLC - London-based oil company focused on the Kurdistan region - Shareholders at annual general meeting vote down the reappointment of Chief Executive Officer Bill Higgs. 55% of shareholders vote against his reappointment, meaning the resolution does not achieve the necessary majority. A majority of shareholders also vote against the reappointment of non-executive directors Tim Bushell and Hassan Gozal.

‘The market will be updated in due course once the board has considered the implications of the vote,’ the company says.
