Authorised Unit Trust (AUT)

A type of collective investment fund authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). An AUT is structured as a trust, with the underlying assets of the fund managed by an investment manager.

Investors buy and sell units in the fund, and the price of those units moves in line with the value of the assets the fund is invested in. See also collective investments.
