Investment Objective

The fund aims to outperform the benchmark by 0.8% p.a. over rolling 3 year periods. The objective of the Sub-Fund is to generate a total return (being a combination of income and capital growth). The policy of the Sub-Fund is to aim to achieve the objective principally through investment in Sterling denominated (or hedged back to Sterling) investment grade corporate bond securities and asset backed securities and other debt instruments. Investment may be in both fixed and variable rate debt instruments. The Sub-Fund may also invest in sub-investment grade corporate bond and other fixed income securities, collective investment schemes (including but not limited to another Sub-Fund or Sub-Funds of the Company), cash and near cash, other transferable securities, money market instruments (including deposits and loans) and derivatives. Derivatives may be used for investment purposes as well as for efficient portfolio management.
