Bakery group Finsbury Food said sales in the first four months of the new financial year grew by 6.4% to £101.5m, driven by strong retail and foodservice performance in the UK and new business wins.

The bakery group also said it was 'confident' of meeting market expectations in the current fiscal year even as the wider macroeconomic and political environment remained challenging in the UK.
