Aviva streamlines business; says talks ongoing to sell Vietnam and joint venture in Indonesia

Aviva said it had streamlined the business to include just five operations and the insurer reiterated that talks were underway to sell its Vietnam and joint venture in Indonesia.

'Following a review of our group strategy and our businesses, we have simplified Aviva into five operating divisions: Investments, Savings & Retirement; UK Life; General Insurance; Europe Life; and Asia Life,' the company said.

In its UK Life business, the insurer vowed to reinvest in profitable new business to increase cash-flows over the long-term. While personal lines performance would be strengthened at its general insurance business.
