What is a flexible ISA?

Since 6 April 2016, ISA rules have allowed some investors to take money out of their ISA and put it back in during the same tax year without affecting the total subscription. These are known as the ‘flexible ISA’ rules.

If you are considering withdrawing funds from your ISA after 6 April and may want to replace them, it is important that you are aware that AJ Bell Youinvest will not allow you to pay back in if you have reached your annual subscription limit. We will provide further information if the ‘flexible’ rules are going to be made available in the AJ Bell Youinvest ISA in the future.
