Trading in DagangHalal's shares has been suspended on AIM after three directors - including the chief executive and vice-chairman - were not re-elected at today's annual general meeting.
CEO Mohamed Hazli Mohamed Hussain, vice-chairman John Croft and Kashif Aslam were not re-elected at the meeting and the board now comprises:
Co-founder and chairman Datuk Haji Muhadzir, co-founder and managing director Francis Chong and independent non-executive director Charles Ng.
A search for a new CEO is under way and in the interim Chong has assumed the role of CEO with immediate effect.
The company requested the shares be suspended with immediate effect pending further information as to the company's proposed plans regarding board composition.
