Cluff Natural Resources confirmed it had submitted multiple applications for additional licences in the UK Oil & Gas Authority's latest UK offshore licensing round.

The company's applications were focussed on its current core operational areas in the Southern gas basin and Central North Sea and were designed to be complementary to the existing portfolio.

All of the applications had been made solely by Cluff Natural Resources, with the exception of one which had been made jointly with an established international operator, the company said.

'UK Oil and Gas Authority guidance indicates that licence awards are likely to take place in the second quarter of 2020,' it added.
