Aggreko said revenue fell 8% in the nine months through September as weakness in its power solutions utility segment continued to weigh on performance.

Underlying revenue, which excluded the impact of currency and pass-through fuel, for the nine months ended 30 September was down 2% on-year, with reported revenue down 8%, the company said.

Its power solutions industrial segment saw underlying revenue slip 7%, while its rental solutions and power solutions industrial businesses delivered growth of 4% and 7% respectively.

Looking ahead, the company said it was on track to deliver full-year earnings in line with market expectations and mid-teens return on capital employed in 2020.
