Bluejay Mining said it had lodged an exploitation licence application for the Dundas ilmenite project to authorities in Greenland.

The licence covered the onshore portion of Dundas, and, once approved, would allow the company to take the next step toward annualised production of 440,000 tonnes per annum.

An environmental impact assessment and social impact assessment would be made available for public consultation once the application was deemed compliant and receivesdsign off from the Ministry of Mines.

Public hearing-meetings would be carried out in cooperation with the government during the consultation period, which the company said was expected to last for about eight weeks.
