Smurfit Kappa completes €750m corporate bond offering

Writer,

Packaging company Smurfit Kappa said it had completed an offering of €750m euro-denominated senior notes due in 2027.

The notes priced at par and had a coupon of 1.50%.

Proceeds would be used in combination with cash reserves to redeem in full senior floating rate notes due in 2020 and 3.25% senior notes due in 2021.

'Given the strength of institutional demand, we increased the offering from our initial target size of €500m,' treasurer Paul Regan said.
