Mkango Resources said it and MetalNRG had agreed to terminate an earn-in agreement for Mkango's Thambani licence in Malawi.

Mkango said it had decided to commence a further a exploration programme at Thambani in 2019 on its own.

The company would therefore retain 100% of the Thambani exploration exclusive prospecting licence, which featured multiple zones of high-grade uranium, tantalum and niobium.

'In parallel, Mkango will continue to evaluate partnership opportunities for the project,' the company said.
