Versarien says US executive facing criminal charges to remain in role

Advanced materials group Versarien said that North American vice president Patrick Abbott would continue in his role, after criminal charges were brought against him by Texas state.

'The criminal proceedings in respect of Patrick Abbott remain ongoing and the company continues to monitor with advice from its US attorney,' the company said.

'The company's commercial operations in the US continue to progress.'

'Patrick Abbott will continue in his role with the company, under the guidance of the board and senior management.'
