Yellow Cake takes deliver of uranium purchased for $30.4m

Uranium stockpiler Yellow Cake said it had taken delivery of around 1.2m pounds of uranium from NAC Kazatomprom.

Yellow Cake had on 12 April exercised an option under the Kazatomprom framework agreement to acquire the uranium at a price of $25.88 per pound.

On 31 May, the U3O8 was delivered and transferred to Yellow Cake at Cameco's Port Hope / Blind River facility in Ontario, Canada, where the material would be held in storage.

The total cost of the U3O8 purchase amountd to $30.4m and would settled from the company's cash balances.
