Red Rock Resources noted that Australia's Jupiter Mines, of which it owned around 1%, had received a dividend payment from a mining investment.

Jupiter said it would receive R521m from Tshipi e Ntle Manganese Mining and around R36m from its marketing entity for the second half of 2019.

'We are pleased to report that Jupiter continues to perform strongly,' Red Rock chairman Andrew Bell said.

'While this is not the formal announcement of a dividend by Jupiter, Jupiter on relisting in 2018 declared a dividend policy that would mean the distribution of most sums received from Tshipi.'
