NextEnergy Solar Fund said it had entered into a partnership with Zestec Asset Management for the future acquisition of operating solar plants to be installed on commercial properties.

The partnership would involve NextEnergy Solar Fund investing £20m in 2019 for developments on commercial rooftops.

NextEnergy Solar Fund said it had an option both to acquire operational assets and to fund construction of new assets.

It would monetise electricity generated principally from power purchase agreements with commercial landlords.
