Pressure Technologies said that subsidiary Chesterfield Special Cylinders was facing legal action in relation to fatal accident that occurred in 2015.
The company said that following an investigation, the Health and Safety Executive, had advised the company that it intended to prosecute Chesterfield Special Cylinders in relation to the accident.
A preliminary court hearing had been set for 6 March.
'It is not possible to determine what the outcome of this court hearing will be and, given the nature of the sentencing guidelines, nor is it possible to determine with any certainty what, if any, financial penalties might be levied on Chesterfield Special Cylinders,' Pressure Technologies said.
'The company continues to take legal advice on this matter and will provide further updates.'
