South32 appoints Karen Wood as its new chairman

Sydney and London listed miner South32 said it had appointed current director and for BHP executive Karen Wood as its new chairman.

She would succeed David Crawford effective from 12 April.

Wood joined the South32 board as an independent non-executive director on 1 November 2017.

She served on BHP's executive team from 2001 until her retirement in 2014.

At 9:25am: (LON:S32) South32 Limited share price was +0.3p at 199.5p
