Sensor systems supplier Transense Technologies welcomed news that licensee GE had been selected by the US Army to provide new engines for its Boeing AH-64 Apaches and Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawks.

The T901 engine incorporated a Transense Technologies surface acoustic wave sensor.

GE would pay a perpetual sales royalty to the company in respect of each unit using the technology, under a license agreement previously announced in July 2016 and March 2017.
