Reach4entertainment buys stake in Garry Neville-backed sports venture

Entertainment marketing group reach4entertainment said it had agreed to acquire 50% of Gary Neville-backed sports content supplier Buzz 16 Productions, for an undisclosed sum.

The deal would be funded from company cash resources and was expected to be earnings accretive in 2019.

Buzz 16 is co-owned by shareholders including Neville, a former Manchester United player turned broadcaster, and former Sky Sports Premier League producer Scott Melvin.

'We are proud to produce engaging content of the highest quality, so welcoming r4e's marketing communications expertise and network is the next natural stage to strengthen our proposition and ultimately broaden our offering to a wider audience,' Neville said.
