Fresh produce company Total Produce said Dole Food had received approval from the European Commission for the sale of two Saba Fresh cuts businesses, satisfying a condition of Total Produce's purchase of 45% of Dole Food.

The commission had approved the sale of Saba Fresh Cuts AB in Sweden and Saba Fresh Cuts OY in Finland to BAMA International.

'The sale of Saba Fresh Cuts AB was a condition of the European Commission's approval of the acquisition by Total Produce of a 45% equity stake in Dole in July 2018,' Total Produce confirmed.
