Versarien raises £5.2m from share issue

Advanced materials group Versarien said it had raised around £5.2m from a share issue.

New shares in the company were issued at 145p each.

Shares were issued through the PrimaryBid platform, which the company said allowed it access retail investors at the same time and terms as institutional investors.

'Retail investors remain an important constituent to us and we are pleased to have allowed them access to this fundraise,' chief executive Neill Ricketts said.

At 9:35am: (LON:VRS) Versarien PLC share price was +8.5p at 186p
