Verditek said subsidiary BBR Filtration has agreed to undertake a trial with a water authority in the northeast of the US.
The trial, to commence in early spring 2018, would test BBR's odour control process at a waste water treatment plant.
Verditek said BBR had also partnered with Isle Utilities to undertake a market survey to research odour problems at treatment plants and lift stations across the US.
The results of the survey were "extremely encouraging", Verditek said, and illustrated that over 70% of the water authorities reported major odour issues. As a result, nine companies provisionally agreed to meet with BBR to consider using its technology.
