FireAngel Safety Technology Group PLC on Friday said it delivered the second development milestone of its agreement with Techem Energy Services GmbH.

The agreement relates to a new generation smoke alarm which is being developed for the German market, primarily.

The milestone, which FireAngel said was delivered ahead of schedule and within budget, saw the delivery of a development board.

The development board related to the control of the analogue sensing circuits, such as smoke sensing. This forms a critical element of the design and allows for significant technical de-risking, FireAngel explained.

As a result, phase two of the development phase is already 20% complete.

Chair John Conoley said: ‘This transformational partnership with Techem is of long-term value and has great significance for FireAngel and its stakeholders. This opportunity has crystallised further with the successful delivery of the second milestone following the formal signing of DP2.’

Shares in FireAngel were up 3.6% at 10.98 pence on Friday in London.
