Reabold Resources PLC on Friday named its new chief financial officer as Chris Connolly.

Connolly joins the investor in upstream oil and gas projects from EnQuest PLC, where he was financial controller. EnQuest is a London-based oil and gas company with operations in the UK North Sea and Malaysia.

At Enquest, Reabold noted, he ‘presided over all technical accounting transactions for EnQuest and was a significant member of project teams focused on acquisitions.’

This appointment comes after news last week that Reabold will acquire Corallian Energy Ltd's portfolio of six exploration and appraisal licenses for £250,000, excluding Victory license.

Commenting on Connolly's appointment, Reabold Chief Executive Stephen Williams said: ‘His wealth of transaction and reporting experience across a wide range of premier resource companies will be of significant value to the company during an exciting period for our business.’

Shares in Reabold were up 11% at 0.34 pence in London on Friday midday.
