(Alliance News)- San Leon Energy PLC on Tuesday noted Decklar Resources Inc's commencement of Oza field shipments.

San Leon, the Dublin-based oil and gas production, development and exploration company focused on Nigeria, has an 11.5% shareholding in Decklar Petroleum Ltd, the local subsidiary of Decklar operating in Nigeria.

Decklar and its co-venturer Millenium Oil & Gas Company Ltd have started loading crude oil into trucks at the Oza oil field from storage tanks for delivery to the Umugini Pipeline Infrastructure Ltd crude handling facilities for further transfer.

The trucks are currently being loaded from crude oil storage tanks at the Oza site that hold approximately 22,000 barrels of oil.

In October 2021, Decklar Petroleum and San Leon entered into an option agreement that entitles San Leon to purchase an additional $7.5 million of loan notes.

Shares in San Leon were suspended, last quoted at 40.75 pence each in London.
