IN BRIEF: Argo Blockchain bitcoin mining revenue rises in April

Argo Blockchain PLC - London-based cryptocurrency miner - In April, mines 166 bitcoin, a slightly higher figure than 163 BTC mined in March. This allows mining revenue to grow 5.8% to £5.5 million from £5.2 million the month before.

As at the end of April, Argo now owns 2,682 bitcoin, of which 235 were BTC equivalents.

Also announces the appointment of Vice President of Business Development Justin Nolan as chief growth officer.

Bitcoin fetched $32,823 on Monday, shortly before midday London time. Over past 24 hours, bitcoin prices have fallen 5.4%, according to figures from Coindesk.

Current stock price: 55.51 pence, down 10% on Monday
